This month, we are proud to recognize Jack Fatica, a 10th grader at Devon Prep School, as our Rey Azteca Student of the Month! Fun-loving, adventurous and enthusiastic about everything he takes on, Jack brings energy and dedication to both his school activities and his many interests outside the classroom.
An enthusiastic student-athlete, Jack plays varsity lacrosse and is hoping to make the JV Basketball team, and he plans to continue participating in both sports throughout high school. Lacrosse is especially important to Jack, and one of his goals is to continue developing his skills with the hope of playing at a Division I college. He also enjoys golfing at Springhaven Country Club and is a member of his school’s Sports Statistics Club.
Jack’s interests extend beyond athletics. He has participated in the Reading Olympics in the past and enjoys being involved in service projects. He is also becoming a Counselor in Training at YMCA Camp Fitch in Erie, Pennsylvania, an opportunity that will allow him to develop leadership skills while helping create a positive experience for younger campers.
Academically, Jack is setting ambitious goals for himself. He hopes to maintain a 3.5–4.0 GPA while preparing for college and pursuing his dream of playing lacrosse at the Division I level. His determination to balance academics, athletics, service and his other interests demonstrates his commitment to making the most of his high school years.
When he’s not studying or on the athletic field, Jack enjoys skiing, playing guitar and traveling. His adventurous personality and enthusiasm for trying new things make him someone who embraces every opportunity to learn and grow.
Congratulations, Jack, on being recognized as our Student of the Month! We wish you continued success in the classroom, on the field and in all your adventures ahead.
You’ve seen them featured in our magazine—now it’s your chance to decide who’s next! We’re looking for students in grades 7–12 who make a difference in their schools, communities, among friends or through local organizations. Nominees must live in Marple, Newtown Square or Edgmont, no matter which school they attend—or if they’re homeschooled. Email LJeffries@BestVersionMedia.com. We’re celebrating character, not just credentials, so academic or athletic accomplishments are not required.
