Meet Justin The Young Entrepreneur Behind JC Soap Company

Newtown Edgmont Friends & Neighbors, November 2026

Justin C. didn’t necessarily set out to become an entrepreneur when he opened his first soap-making kit in 2023. At the time, it was simply a birthday gift from his grandparents and an opportunity to try something new. But Justin quickly discovered that he enjoyed the hands-on process of making soap, experimenting with scents and colors and seeing an idea turn into something people could actually use.

What began as a hobby eventually grew into JC Soap Company, LLC, a small business that Justin runs with support from his family. Today, the company focuses on L Wash, a customizable liquid soap collection designed to give customers choices in both formula and scent. For Justin, the journey has been about learning what customers want, refining the products and steadily building a business he hopes will keep growing.

“I really enjoyed it,” Justin recalled of that first soap-making experience. The original kit came with a prepared soap base, colors and other supplies. He melted the soap base, added color and scent, mixed everything together and poured it into molds. Watching the finished soap take shape sparked an interest that quickly went beyond the original kit.

He began purchasing additional supplies and making more soap. The business was originally called Bubbles and Suds, the first name of the company now known as JC Soap Company. As the business developed, Justin experimented with different types of soap and products before eventually narrowing his focus.

Today, L Wash is at the center of the company. Customers can choose between two main full-size formulas, Essential and Pro, with a smaller Mini option also available. The Discovery Kit gives customers another way to explore the lineup by allowing them to build their own combination of up to six one-ounce bottles. For each bottle, customers can choose either the Essential or Pro base, along with their preferred scent and color, so they can mix and match combinations.

The customization is an important part of what makes JC Soap Company different. Justin enjoys giving customers the ability to create something that fits their personal preferences rather than simply choosing from a single set product.

Behind every bottle is plenty of planning and attention to detail. Justin researches ingredients and prepared soap bases, compares options and tests combinations before deciding which products and variations work best. Friends and family members also provide feedback as he develops and evaluates products.

Justin’s dad is the legal owner of JC Soap Company LLC and helps with production and planning, while Justin handles day-today operations. His responsibilities include preparing the soap, bottling, labeling, packaging, processing orders and maintaining the website. What started with a small soap-making kit has become a real business with customers, orders and an expanding online presence.

Justin has also taken his business into the community through the Newtown Square Farmers Market. Preparing for the market requires planning batches in advance, followed by bottling and labeling the products and getting everything ready for customers. Online orders add another part to the process, including packaging, preparing shipping labels and sending orders through USPS.

The holiday season also gives JC Soap Company another opportunity to connect with customers, and this year’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday promotion will be a major focus. The Black Friday sale runs from Friday, November 27th through Cyber Monday, November 30th, giving shoppers a chance to save while buying gifts or stocking up on their favorite products. Discounted bundles will also let customers combine different bottles and create personalized gift options.

Gift giving is an important part of the company’s holiday offerings. JC Soap Company provides free printed gift messages, while customers can also choose upgraded packaging with tissue paper, ribbons around the bottles and a gift-box presentation. Eligible L Wash products are available through a monthly subscription option with 10% off, giving customers another way to keep receiving products they enjoy.

Justin will also participate in the Culbertson Elementary holiday shop, giving local families another opportunity to discover JC Soap Company during the holiday season. Additional markets and local gift shops remain possibilities that Justin is exploring as the company continues to develop. The company’s visual identity has evolved alongside its products. JC Soap Company uses dark-green-and-cream branding, coordinated packaging and an online store designed to give customers a consistent experience from the first time they see the brand through the moment their order arrives. The website also provides product information and lets customers customize their orders.

For Justin, the goal is not simply to make the company bigger. He wants to make it better by listening to local customers, earning repeat purchases and continuing to improve the products and experience. A line from the company’s written plan captures that philosophy: “Make the soap worth coming back for. Build a company that can keep delivering it.”

Justin balances school with the responsibilities of running a small business. A student at Westtown School, he enjoys technology, cars and helping others with computers and phones. He says he has always enjoyed understanding how things work and figuring out ways to help when someone is having trouble with technology.

That same curiosity carries over into JC Soap Company. Justin is constantly thinking about the customer experience, from the formula and scent choices to the packaging and website. He also listens to what customers say at the farmers market and uses that feedback to shape the company’s direction.

The holiday season offers local shoppers a chance to discover a young business growing thoughtfully right here in the community. Whether customers are looking for a personalized Discovery Kit, a full-size L Wash bottle, a thoughtful bundle or a gift with customized packaging, JC Soap Company offers plenty of ways to make holiday shopping a little more personal.
