Congratulations, Olivia!

Newtown Edgmont Friends & Neighbors, September 2026

We are proud to recognize Olivia Lombardi, a senior at Penncrest High School and a student in the Delaware County Technical School’s (DCTS) Emergency Protective Services Program.

Olivia balances an exceptionally demanding schedule, attending high school while completing her coursework at DCTS, finishing her EMT training, earning her firefighter certifications and volunteering as both a firefighter and EMT serving communities throughout Chester and Delaware counties. Managing these responsibilities has taught her discipline, perseverance, strong time-management skills and the importance of staying committed even when life gets busy. Every challenge she has faced has strengthened her determination to continue learning, serve her community and become the best version of herself.

In addition to her emergency services training, Olivia has participated in programs focused on criminology and public service, including the Future Assistant U.S. Attorneys Program. Through this experience, she has worked alongside Assistant U.S. Attorneys, federal agents and legal professionals, gaining valuable firsthand insight into the justice system. The program further fueled her passion for criminology, law and public service.

Whenever she finds a little free time, Olivia enjoys horseback riding, dance and writing. She is currently working on her first book, a reflection on the experiences that have shaped who she is today.

After graduation, Olivia plans to continue her education while gaining valuable experience through internships and opportunities in the legal field. She also hopes to build on her emergency services background as she pursues a career in public service, leadership and helping others. Her ultimate goal is to serve with a federal agency, such as the Secret Service, or work within the justice system, where she can make a meaningful and lasting impact on her community.
