We are proud to recognize Ryan Gallagher, a senior at Penncrest High School, as our May Rey Azteca Student of the Month!
During his time at Penncrest, Ryan has distinguished himself both academically and athletically. He is a four-year varsity athlete in track and field, a two-time state medalist and serves as a captain of both the varsity track and soccer teams. Beyond athletics, Ryan is a state finalist in Data Analysis through FBLA, co-president of Model UN and Co-Founder and President of Food Force, an organization dedicated to organizing food drives and community events.
Ryan’s commitment to service is equally impressive. He volunteers and works as a key assistant at the Delco Food Bank and is actively involved in volunteer efforts within the Rose Tree soccer community. Paul Mickle, Director of the Delco Food Bank, shared, “Ryan always tries to find the positive qualities in people. He also has a strong sense of empathy for anyone who finds him or herself in a difficult or uncomfortable situation.”
This fall, Ryan plans to attend the University of Chicago, where he will study economics with minors in social sciences and STEM, while continuing his athletic career on the track team.
Ryan, you are a talented and compassionate individual. We are confident the future holds great things for you.
