Gather your family and friends for the 5th Annual Edgmont Township Community Day, taking place on Sunday, September 13th, from 10:00am to 3:00pm. Hosted by Edgmont Township at Arasapha Farm, visitors will enjoy fun and festive music, games, live entertainment and lots of fun for the whole family! A quiet hour will be offered from 10-11am for children with sensory sensitivities. With more than 2,000 attendees last year, Community Day has become a special tradition that brings the Edgmont community together for a full day of free, family-friendly activities, entertainment and fun.
There will be 17 food trucks and more than 80 vendors to explore and enjoy. Back by popular demand this year is an Antiques Appraisal Fair, where you can bring your treasures to be evaluated by our local antique experts. There will also be flower and plant crafts, guided painting workshops, a petting zoo, a dog adoption event, a pie baking contest with prizes, a free quilt giveaway, pony rides, hair tinsel, face painting as well as vehicle displays from local fire companies, State Police, ambulance and Edgmont’s road crew. These activities are free, but some require tickets or advance registration.
NEW this year, a variety of raffle baskets from local businesses will be offered, with proceeds benefiting Providence Animal Center in Media.
Scheduled entertainment and demonstrations include Angela Bates Dance Academy, Club Pilates, MSNA Martial Arts, Story Time by the Newtown Public Library, the Penncrest High School Marching Band and Varsity Cheerleaders, a Danny Go! Impersonator and School of Rock, Delco.
There will be something for everyone on the 80-acre farm located at 1835 Middletown Rd in Glen Mills. Local craft vendors will be selling their handmade jewelry, bags, seasonal decorations and candles. Sweet treats and good eats will be provided by a variety of food trucks.
