Fante Flooring’s story is rooted in generations of family craftsmanship and hard work. The company began back to 1901, when Thomas Fante (Eric’s great-grandfather) immigrated from Italy and built a successful furniture business in South Philadelphia. Thomas’s son Dominic later carried that legacy forward, developing a deep passion and expertise in flooring, and officially opening Fante Flooring in 1946. As the business 
grew, Dominic transformed the store into a beautiful showroom by the 1970s. Decades later, that same family tradition continued when Eric opened the Newtown Square showroom in 2016, bringing generations of experience to Marple Newtown. “I also learned so much from my father,” recalled Eric. “He taught me everything I know about business and life.”
Eric, who lives in Broomall with his wife and three children, spends his days in the showroom talking with his customers and walking them through the process of selecting, designing and installing high-quality beautiful floors. He can also bring the floor samples directly to customers’ homes so they can look at flooring under their own lighting to decide what works.

Both times, no one came close in price and availability,” said customer Mike McAleer. “The installers were friendly and professional.
