Hosted by The Foundation for Delaware County, Delco Gives is an online giving initiative supporting hundreds of nonprofits working every day to strengthen our community. From food and housing security to education, the arts, health and human services, Delco Gives provides an opportunity for everyone to go All In for Delco.
“Over the first two years of Delco Gives, we’ve seen the incredible generosity of this community in action,” said Katy Lichtenstein, Vice President of Communications of The Foundation for Delaware County. “Nearly $4 million has been raised from close to 20,000 donors, and the median gift has been just $30. That shows the true spirit of Delco—when everyone gives a little, together we can make a tremendous impact for the nonprofits serving our neighbors every day.”
As Delco Gives enters its third year, the goal is simple: make it even bigger, even more inclusive and even more impactful. At a time when nonprofits are navigating rising costs and uncertain funding, Delco Gives offers community, visibility and hope.
Local Nonprofits Making an Impact
Nonprofits throughout Delaware County do incredible work every day. They feed families who don’t have enough to eat, provide emergency housing for those without a safe place to stay, offer arts and cultural programs, shelter animals and much more. Delco Gives helps ensure these organizations can continue serving neighbors who rely on them.
All proceeds go directly to participating nonprofits. Every donation also helps the organization qualify for additional bonus funding from the Foundation and generous sponsors, making each gift go further. Bonus funds are awarded based on the number of donors, not the number of dollars, so every person who participates makes a difference. Additional cash prizes sponsored by local businesses are also given out from over the duration of the event.

Delco Gives is more than an online fundraiser—it’s a community celebration.
“This year, we’re excited to close out Delco Gives on May 7th with a community celebration at the new WSFS Bank Sportsplex at the Philadelphia 
Union Complex. There will be food, music, games and family-friendly activities,” said Katy. “It’s a chance for people to come together, celebrate the generosity of our community and recognize the hundreds of nonprofits that make Delaware County such a strong and vibrant place to live.”
The event kicks off at Media’s first Dining Under the Stars of the season on May 6th, featuring a special program hosted by 6ABC’s Cecily Tynan, along with music, entertainment and more. Everyone is encouraged to come out, connect and celebrate what it means to be All In for Delco.
How can Businesses Get Involved?
Delco Gives wouldn’t be successful without the generous support of local businesses. Sponsorships encourage participation and help raise even more money for participating nonprofits. Many participating nonprofits will host their own events, which can be found on their profile pages at DelcoGives.org.
